After prayerful consideration, we have made a change in the leadership of our Children’s Ministry and today we are excited to announce that church member Michelle DeBenedetto will begin serving as our new Children’s Director. Michelle has worked with our preschool for close to 10 years and has been involved with our children’s ministry for several years. She comes with a wealth of experience serving children and most importantly has a deep calling to shape the lives of young people. Currently, Michelle works at our preschool part time. She will continue serving in this role as it helps us as a church better connect with the children and families of the preschool. Michelle attends the Contemporary Service most Sundays, is married to her husband Rocco and is mother to Rocco Jr. and Lindsly who are homeschooled entering 9th and 6th grade, respectively. Along with her passion of teaching and serving, she loves to camp with her family, prepare delicious meals, and is always exploring new ideas that help her better connect and serve.
Thank you to SPR for the prayerful work and consideration in the midst of this transition. Thank you to the volunteers and staff who helped us continue the important work and ministry to the children and families in our congregation. We are excited about Michelle’s leadership and the ways God will use her to connect and engage children and families at St. Andrew’s UMC. We hope you will join us this upcoming week as we welcome her to the church staff and ask that you pray for her, her family and our Children’s Ministry.
